Alžběta Trojanová (DAMU) – Animation of the Periphery

The exhibition maps the transformations of the landscape of the Prokop Valley as part of a PhD project on the environmental aspects of performative walking in the landscape. The author refers to the area under study as the "periphery" – the peripheral places at the interface between natural sites and built-up areas, where a significant transformation of the rural landscape into prefabricated housing estates has been taking place since the 1980s. The intermingling of these two disparate worlds proved to be a strong theme for the artistic work.

Marcel Stecker (FAMU) – Return Without Nostalgia: Transformative Practices in Photography

The exhibition presents an artist project realized within the framework of artistic research moving in the field of media studies and media archaeology. It consciously works with older image technologies and their contemporary reinterpretation – these practices are not motivated by a return to the past, but by a desire to understand the current state of visual culture.
