David Pešat (born in 1980 in Prague) graduated from Academy of fine arts in Prague in 2001 – 2007 (Painting studio I. / school of Jiří Sopko). He also studied at Academy of arts, architecture and design in Prague in 2005 – 2007. David was granted a scholarship at School of Bella Artes in Granada, Spain in 2004 – 2005 and at School of Art in Kankaanpaa, Finland in 2005 – 2009. He was a finalist of The critique's award for painting with overlaps in 2009. As a member of EX association David participates in their exhibitions. He has regularly exhibited since 2004. His works were put in the context of contemporary painting in the following exhibitions: 2:15. Junge Kunst aus Dresden und Prag (Topičův salon, Prague, 2010), Fundamentals & Sediments. Toy mutiny 2011 (GHMP, Praha, 2011), EX (Topičův salon, Praha, 2012), projekt EX: It is not irrelevant where we actually happen to be (Galerie Caesar, Olomouc, 2013) or Klenová Art Schwandorf (Galerie Klatovy-Klenová, 2016). The author's last solo exhibition took place in Prokop gallery (Děčín, 2016).
