The Gočár Gallery will present the first Czech solo exhibition by artist Eva, who hails from the Pardubice Region, specifically the town of Svitavy. The exhibition, held in the Automatické mlýny granary, consists of Yurková’s graphic works, colorful collages depicting female bodies while bathing or relaxing by the water, as well as ceramic reliefs broken into individual fragments and assembled like a puzzle pieced together from the shattered image of the everyday experience of life in today’s world.

The artist has prepared entirely new works for the silo, which, in the dimly lit space, showcase the beauty of lines originally carved into a wooden matrix and subsequently cast into a thin relief made of silicone—a material sometimes used in the production of swimsuits. Yurková has imprinted the motif of anonymized female bodies captured while resting and relaxing by the water not only in paper collages but also in woodcuts, which she has brought to life on paper and wooden panels through forceful and rough engraving. The exhibition explores themes of the aesthetics of everyday life, wellness, and active relaxation.
