The exhibition Imaginarium presents the artistic, playful, and mysterious world of theater artists, visual artists, and friends connected through collaboration and personal friendships with the Forman Brothers Theater. The installation celebrates creativity, imagination, and beauty; playful objects come to life here and become a landscape filled with human imagination and stories.

The Imaginarium installation is created anew at each location—and in part spontaneously—inspired by the space itself and shaped through close collaboration among a diverse group of artists and friends. The entire installation is tied together by a unifying soundscape and thoughtful lighting design. Magical decorations, shadow puppets from the performance *One Thousand and One Nights*, a self-service marionette and glove puppet theater, a hand-cranked carousel in the middle of a painted circus ring, walk-in circus paintings, a life-size elephant puppet, mechanical toys, moving posters, and other exhibits—these spaces, objects, and nooks will offer shared experiences for children and adults alike. Parents will take their children by the hand so they won’t be afraid to step into dreams filled with nightmares, or help them discover the magic of mechanical boxes—so-called “hybohleds.” In addition to interactive experiences and games, they can explore together a fantasy world of numerous unique original films, photographs, wood carvings, woodcuts, and paintings.

“You don’t need instructions to play. We believe that people have a natural sense of sensitivity and balance; they’ll understand what they can interact with and how. Where only a light touch is appropriate, where to enter the fairy-tale labyrinth with a mere glance, and where to demonstrate dexterity and become a co-creator of your own Imaginarium experience,” says Matěj Forman, the exhibition’s initiator and coordinator, regarding the fragility and vulnerability of the exhibits, objects, and games that the creators of Imaginarium offer for interaction. At the same time, however, in an effort to encourage both children and adult visitors to the installation to embrace playfulness, curiosity, and the freedom to discover the beauty and art hidden in every corner of Imaginarium, he adds: “Human hands can work miracles, and imagination is endless,” he adds.
