Radiator in the shrubs

Jakub Sýkora (born in 1984 in Rakovník) has graduated from The Graphic school Prague at Hellichova (2000 – 2004) and The Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (2006 – 2012 studio of new media / school of Veronika Bromová and painting studio / Jiří Sopko school). He spent half a year at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences in Kankaanpää (Finland) in 2010. He was awarded a Jan Zrzavý award for young Czech and French artists working in Bretagne in 2013 and he was a finalist of Critics award for the young painting with overlaps. Besides free art he is interested in graphic design (co-author of the comic book Chyba, Lipnik 2011). In public he is known under the nickname Kukryniksa. He is preparing a paintings exhibition called Radiator in the shrubs for the autumn exhibition season at Vyšehrad gallery. The curator of the exhibition is Petr Vaňous.
