Glitch. Today, it refers to a digital error. Originally, however, it was a slang term for a “slippery spot”—from the jargon of radio operators and electrical engineers—a brief, inexplicable signal failure, a sudden dropout, a slippery spot in an otherwise smooth transmission. A spot where data slips, momentarily loses its balance, and then regains its footing. Nothing breaks. It just slips for a second.

More folklore, more! is an exhibition about such places, spread across two floors. The gallery features drawings and paintings on paper created by four hands, in two contrasting modes: Gabriel, who is four years old, enters the images as a force of nature—a gesture, a scribble, an overpainting, a chaos that cannot be undone, because paper has no undo. Jan, on the other hand (and at the same time in tandem with this), imposes order: a hand-drawn grid, line dots evoking the memory of CRT screens, a decomposed pixel, a network that strives to hold the image together. Neither side wins. Something in between emerges—an ornament of the digital age, a new form of folk art, the folklore of error.
