The exhibition presents the work of the prominent Czech draftsman, illustrator, and comic book author Jaroslav Němeček, whose name is inextricably linked to the legendary Čtyřlístek. Since the late 1960s, his work has evolved into a distinctive visual world based on clarity, artistic simplicity, and the ability to tell stories through images.

The exhibition explores this world across several thematic levels—from adventures in unknown lands to returns to familiar settings, and on to fantasy and fairy-tale motifs. The well-known characters Fifinka, Bobík, Pinďa, and Myšpulín appear here in various situations and settings, which together form an open and ever-changing whole.

In addition to his comic book work, the exhibition also features the artist’s freehand paintings, which reflect his sense of line, composition, and use of space. Landscapes, urban scenes, and imaginative motifs reveal another dimension of his work.

The exhibition also includes the motif Čtyřlístek in Zlín, created specifically for this occasion, which connects the artist’s long-established world with a specific location. The exhibition thus offers not only an encounter with iconic heroes, but also a glimpse into the broader context of a body of work that has maintained its vitality and ability to appeal to audiences across generations for decades.
