In the Kostka Gallery, under the title Challenger Escape Plan, Jozef Mrva Jr. will present his most recent and older paintings in the form of a large-scale spatial installation, on the form of which he collaborates with Ondřej Doskočil.

Jozef Mrva Jr. (*1988), Prague-based artist, curator, educator and graduate of PhD studies at FFA BUT in Brno, combines mathematical models, found imagery and speculative philosophy with digital media (especially 3D animation and video), drawing and installation. In his paintings he repeatedly works with the motif of the node and cyclical structures as a visual and thought method. In his installations he uses the technique of collage from recyclates, objects and videos often based on metaphors of the interconnectedness of communication networks, logistics and capitalism. He also repeatedly returns to themes of the hidden infrastructures of the platform economy and their environmental or geopolitical implications. He has presented his work at A Promise of Kneropy, Kvalitář, AMU Gallery (with Philipp Kolychev), Kurzor Gallery, Brno House of Arts, Boccanera Gallery and Biennale Warszawa, among others.
