The exhibition Aletheia presents the latest series of works by Julie Kopová, in which the artist explores the possibilities of abstract painterly expression on the borderline between intention, intuition, and pure perception. The exposition offers a view of the artist's recent work inspired by the specific light atmosphere of Athens, highlighting her ability to combine a vibrant painterly gesture with deeper philosophical reflection. Her canvases are characterized by a confident handling of color, the structural layering of acrylic and oil pastel, and the capacity to capture a fleeting moment just before the experienced reality is named.

Julie Kopová (*1995) is an emerging painter of the new generation of Czech abstraction who connects visual art with philosophy, poetry, and musical rhythm. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (studios of Jiří Sopko, Robert Šalanda, and Vladimír Skrepl), completed a study stay at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Gregor Hildebrandt, and studied philosophy at the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University; her works have also been represented at Christie's auction house. Her paintings are rooted in the Ancient Greek concept of truth as a continuous process of unconcealment and the emerging of hidden layers of reality, resulting in compositions filled with internal dynamics, lightness, and untamed color energy.
