Nebula returns to the primal sources of Salajka’s work – to nature as a space of fascination, imagination, and unrest. The new paintings grow out of the artist’s long-term observation of the forces that shape nature: its silent mysteries, its inexhaustible capacity to awaken the imagination, as well as the dark energies that arise when humans disturb its balance.

The title of the exhibition, referring to fog or a nebula, points to uncertainty and the mutability of forms. The nervous, dynamic brushwork follows a constant movement, with layers of color conveying everything experienced, seen, and intuited from the depths of nature.

Nebula offers a view of nature as a living organism – beautiful, formidable, and mysterious at once. The paintings become a space where energy and fragility meet, with every stroke bearing the trace of a profound engagement with a world that surpasses us.
