“Breath, you invisible poem.
You circle endlessly around your own being, a universe entirely transformed. Your own counterbalance, through which I move rhythmically. The sole wave, whose gentle sea I am; of all possible seas, you are the most economical—the space gained.”
~ R. M. Rilke: Sonnets to Orpheus
The exhibition presents contemporary works by artists who are among the most prominent figures on the current art scene. In their works, they explore themes of nature, space, the universe, and even breath itself—as symbols of constant movement and transformation. We reached out to artists across generations, asking them to select images that, for them, capture their inner connection to the world.
Their works are often created directly in the landscape or in contact with it—the pieces serve as a record of their experience—of listening and discovering. The exhibition was inspired by the poetry of R. M. Rilke, whose sensitivity to the invisible and deep understanding of nature are reflected throughout the exhibition. The Invisible Poem invites the viewer to pause, to take a gaze that transcends the immediate, and to discover the subtle connections between humanity and the world that breathes alongside us.
Exhibiting Artists: CONVICT (Conrad Eric Armstrong & Viktor Valášek), Zdeněk Daněk, Krištof Kintera, Ester Knapová, Kateřina Ondrušková, František Skála, Barbora Šaroun Šemberová, Veronika Zapletalová, Kamila Ženatá
