An exhibition by Japanese artist Fumio Komori and artist Olga Yakubovská brings together two worlds in their works. Both artists are inspired by Japanese culture and the changing seasons. Everything—from food to hair ornaments—is subject to the principle of seasonality, which is especially true in Kyoto, Japan’s cultural capital.
The painter Fumio Komori, who works in the traditional technique of ink painting on wet paper (sumi-e), hails from Kyoto himself. Olga Yakubovskaya visited Japan in 2016, when she first became more familiar with the local culture.
