Ephemera. Everything is Ours! (2018) is based on research into the visual culture of the Hungarian Soviet Republic of 1919.
Ádám Albert focuses on temporary architectural structures, decorations, and monuments that briefly transformed the cityscape of Budapest and became instruments of a new political order.
Working with archival photographs, he examines how ideology enters public space and how historical events become embedded in collective memory. The installation reflects on the transience of political symbols and the recurring ambition to reshape society through images, architecture, and public gestures.
𝗔́𝗱𝗮́𝗺 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 is a visual artist living and working in Budapest. His practice combines artistic research, archival materials, and analytical approaches to the study of history. He is particularly interested in the relationship between collective memory, cultural traditions, and political ideologies that shape our understanding of the past. His work spans installation, photography, objects, and publications, often emerging from in-depth investigations of specific historical events and their contemporary interpretations.
