The meeting point of the eye with the seen place. Focusing on the detail of the perceived whole. The paintings of Zbyněk Sedlecky have for a long time exhibited an orientation reminiscent of an observer with an optical microscope and at the same time a person capturing a fleeting moment through a camera using a zoom. These moments are further enhanced by the subtle blurring of the image, which gives the painting the appearance of a vivid shimmer.

The artist studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Brno University of Technology in the studio of Jiří Načeradský and then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under Professor Jiří Sopek. From the very beginning we can observe in Zbyněk Sedlecky's paintings not only a fascination for figurative themes, but also a sense for capturing the detail of the moment, the moment of seeing. There are figures of visitors to openings, people at a bus stop or situations related to the city, such as a section of a construction crane, a stretch of road or a fragment of a building. There are figurative intersections of people with the environment around them.
