Children's Gallery Lapidárium is an experimental gallery project primarily focused on children. Its content is the regular preparation of curated exhibitions of respected artists of the young and middle generation, which should introduce children and their parents to the world of contemporary art in a friendly way. It is not about approaching children through infantile stylisation, but about trying to create an exhibition format that is able to convey lively themes, techniques and artistic media that can be further developed through accompanying programmes.

The visual form of an exhibition and the ability to communicate its content are equally important, but they need not be in balance. The goal is not only education itself, but above all the creation of an environment that seeks to remove the traditional barriers and inhibitions between contemporary art and the mainstream audience. In the long term, for the regular visitor to such projects, art should become a normal part of life in the sense of one of the principles of viewing and communicating about this world.
