Lucie Nováčková's project, All Right Hands, transforms the gallery space into a place where the usual rules no longer apply and, for this reason, almost anything can happen there. It alludes to the fact that when a person frees themselves from the perception of the world that others have presented to them since childhood and begins to search for new meanings of relationships, things and activities, they can discover something that was previously hidden from them.

Lucie Nováčková uses weaving as a symbolic path to such a state , that is, creating a warp typical of textile creation. However, she is not concerned with the actual production of fabric or the demonstration of traditional craftsmanship. A regular pattern of fibers requires concentrated activity, but in itself does not yet carry any meaning; it is a beginning, a storehouse of possibilities. A crossroads that awaits the direction in which someone will go through it and where it will lead. It is a kind of open gate, a situation that awaits an open person.

It can be similar with objects, anyone who "forgets" what they are used for can look at them with unburdened eyes and attribute a completely new meaning to them or just let themselves be carried away by their perfection. And it is precisely the tools, their perception and the way they are handled that are another important element in Lucie Nováčková's installation. People gradually shape the parameters of a place with their activities. However, they engage in playful gestural rituals more than in systematic work in the true sense.

The imagined space then develops as a place that grows from the gradual addition of small decisions. It is not created according to a fixed plan, but according to sensitivity to the moment. It is both a trace and an event. Possibility is not an empty moment, but a tension between what is now and what may come. Sound, movement, matter and fiber respond more to proximity than to touch. More important than performance is attention.

All of this can eventually lead to things that somehow contradict common ideas and assumptions, like the fact that a few thin threads can hold a boulder in the air. Such moments disrupt expectations and show that the world is not an unchanging set of givens, but an open system that changes according to the ways in which we interact with it. And yet, perhaps it is enough to do very little, not to rely on what others say, to look at the world with an open mind and to dream a little.

Lucie Nováčková (*1981) studied Cultural History at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Pardubice, then Textile Design in Hradec Králové and Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Prague. After graduating, she devoted herself to supporting the emerging artistic generation for several years as the founder and curator of the Pragovka Gallery, The White Room and Kolben Open projects. Subsequently, her attention turned back to her own work, which is currently being developed as part of her doctoral studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in the Socha II studio, where she explores the parallel between text, textiles and techné.
