Emil Kolben Villa (Kolbenka)

The Emil Kolben Villa in Prague's Vinohrady is normally closed to the public. It only opens its doors exceptionally, usually once a year, for temporary site-specific art projects.

Contemporary art enters the villa's space directly, creating a dialogue with its architecture, history and story. Young emerging artists collaborate on projects with professional artists. Each opening offers a unique opportunity to see the villa from a new perspective and at the same time gain insight into a place whose use has changed over time - from a family residence to a social care facility to the current headquarters of an organization preserving the legacy of Emil Kolben.
