The Gallery of Fine Arts in Ostrava (GVUO) is a contributory organisation of the Moravian-Silesian Region and the largest collecting art gallery in the region. Its collections are continuously expanding and currently comprise more than 24,000 works of art.



GVUO’s exhibition spaces are located in the House of Art (Dům umění), a listed heritage building dating from 1926, which ranks among the architectural gems of Ostrava. Thanks to the quality of its collections, GVUO is considered one of the five most significant collecting art institutions in the Czech Republic.
