Lecture by Bára Alex Kašparová.
Banksy is one of the most famous artists of our time—and yet we don’t know who he really is. How did anonymity become part of his artistic strategy, a means of communication, and a source of his exceptional value? This lecture will examine Banksy’s work, the mystique surrounding him, the art market, and the phenomenon of anonymity, which can sometimes be more valuable than a signature itself. It also focuses on two Czech artists who work within a similar framework of expression and values.
