The Gallery of Modern Art in Hradec Králové ranks among the most important galleries in the Czech Republic for the size and quality of its art collections. The gallery creates, professionally manages and makes accessible collections of Czech art from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries to works by contemporary artists. Permanent exhibitions from the Gallery's collections and regularly renewed author, collective and thematic exhibitions introduce visitors to the significant values of Czech modern and contemporary art. The gallery also prepares accompanying programmes to exhibitions, organizes lectures and other cultural and educational programmes.
