Faculty of Art and Design of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University has opened the Ústí nad Labem House of Art after a comprehensive reconstruction – a unique institution focused on the presentation, production and research of art using the facilities of its home university, which is situated between current artistic production and educational, scientific and socially engaged activities.

House of Arts Ústí nad Labem has almost 700 m² of exhibition space, a multifunctional hall for 80 spectators, designed for experimental audiovisual, performative and musical performances, a residential studio, workshops specialised in new media and graphic techniques serving students and the public, and last but not least, extensive facilities suitable for art education and various social activities.

The Ústí nad Labem House of Arts is a high-quality institutional facility meeting international standards for the presentation of exhibitions and artworks, and its spatial and technological potential allows full participation in prestigious grant schemes and demanding international productions.
