KreAt Studio has been providing professional art facilities for talented artists with intellectual disabilities and artists with mental illness since 2012. The studio operates under the head of the non-profit organization Kunštát PRO FUTURO o.p.s., founded by Antonín Krejčíř, and for more than twenty years it has been trying to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
The work in the studio is not a leisure activity or therapy, but is based on the method of facilitation, which is based on a dialogue between the artist and the lecturer without any influence on the creation. The result is authentic works with aesthetic and collector's value, which are classified as art brut and outsider art and exhibited in Czech and foreign galleries.
The KreAt studio is unique in the Czech Republic in its complexity. Our intention is not only to build quality art and exhibition facilities, but also to develop an international professional platform with an academic overlap, which from 2020 onwards systematically educates the public and connects theorists in the field of art brut and outsider art every year.
The studio is located at 16 Botanická Street in Brno and is currently attended by approximately 14 artists, in collaboration with the organisations Práh South Moravia and the Gaudium Home for Persons with Disabilities. The main artists with a rich exhibition history include Jana Kuklínková, Radim Jakubec, Martin Ambros and Vladimír Procházka.
The studio runs a small gallery Gallery Over Art (Botanická 16, Brno), which is used for community exhibitions of artists from the studio. The space allows artists to sensitively share their work with the public and gradually build confidence in their presentation.
The key exhibition space is the historic Česká spořitelna building (Jánská 6, Brno). The studio regularly organizes exhibitions of art brut artists here alongside professional artists (e.g. Dušan Nágel, Lubomír Hruška, Jiří Závodník, Dušan Kállay, Ivan Kříž and others).
ART BRUT BRNO Conference
An annual international symposium that brings together theorists, curators, art historians, social workers and artists such as Jaromír Typlt, Vladimír Kordoš, Christian Vittinghoff, Piotr Gierowski and other prominent personalities from the Czech Republic and abroad. It offers a space for exchange of experience, inspiration and insight into new trends in the field of art brut.
Collection ART BRUT BRNO

ART BRUT FILM BRNO
A cultural and documentary film screening, presenting the work of art brut artists, with an accompanying educational programme in cooperation with collector Pavel Konečný (Kino ART, Brno).
International virtual gallery ART BRUT
A project aimed at building an international network in cooperation with foreign studios, galleries and collectors. Thanks to this collaboration, the first virtual art brut gallery available to the general public was created.
