NIKA is the student exhibition space of University of Applied Arts in Prague, which expands into public space and aims to reach a wide audience. NIKA is located in the lobby of the Karlovo náměstí metro station, roughly below the František Palacký monument. It offers students the opportunity to realise new, site-specific exhibition projects as well as to present works already created. The oval showcase of monumental size also encourages to think of tailor-made installation solutions and is therefore a challenge and inspiration.

The founder of the gallery is Tereza Jindrová. Since the beginning of 2022 it has been managed by Amálie Bulandrová, Anežka Rucká and Eliška Špálová, who replaced the previous team of Anna Roubalová and Anna Crhová. The curators for 2020 were Zuzana Dusilová, Mariana Pecháčková and Eva Slabá. Kamila Huptychová and Alice Vítková led the gallery in 2019, Klára Hudáková and Tereza Škvárová in 2017/2018, and Lenore Jurkyová and Michal Vaníček in 2016/17. In the 2015/16 academic year, NIKU was curated by Tereza Hrušková, who in the 2014/15 academic year collaborated with Markéta Jonášová on the realization of exhibitions.

Gallery exhibitions are held monthly.

The graphic design of the gallery's invitations was handled by Jolana Sýkorová in 2013-2016, and Josefína Karlíková and Vojtěch Říha in 2016/17. Since 2018, Vít Jebavý has been the gallery's graphic designer, and during 2019 he collaborated with Matúš Buranovský and Jiří Macků. In 2020, Jiří Macků took care of the overall visual design of the gallery and invitations to exhibitions, who was replaced by Jaroslava Straková and Jan Stuchlík in March 2021. Since the beginning of 2022, Pavel Kuja and Michal Tůma have managed the visual programme of Galerie NIKA.
