Studio Bubec is operated by the eponymous civic association, which was founded on March 7, 2000 in Prague 5, Řeporyje. Řeporyje is an old village founded in the 11th century, located on the south-western outskirts of Prague, in the close vicinity of the Prokopské údolí valley.
One of the activities of the Sculpture Studio is the rental of premises suitable for art works. The studio is operated in a former warehouse hall of 1200 m 2, 5 m high, located on a plot of 3000 m2. The hall is equipped with an office, cloakroom, shower room and toilet.
Artists can apply for residencies of 1–5 months, which will take place annually between 1 April and 31 October. Up to five artists can work indoors and three others outdoors at the same time.
