The war in Ukraine is re-emphasizing the question of the independent path of Ukrainian art and Ukrainian culture. The main objective of the lecture is to broaden the understanding of Ukrainian culture and Ukrainian art in several aspects: the activities of the Ukrainian scientific school of the theory of screen spectacular arts; Ukrainian culture and avant-garde art of the 1920s and the formation of Ukrainian national cinema; stylistic original searches of Ukrainian cinema in comparison with the searches of Russian Soviet cinema in the 1920s: avant-garde artistic searches or dangerous experiments.
