A composite literary evening with raw texts by an outsider writer
13th September, 5 pm
Admission CZK 50
The texts are from the upcoming book by Pavel Novotný based on recorded narratives by Helena Skalická, whose stories are an agglomeration of various narrative versions, fragments and apparent trivia. These texts chart the dramatic course of Helena's life: a childhood and adolescence marked by cruelty and repeated spells in institutions and mental hospitals; life on the streets and a desperate search for shelter, livelihood and love; life in social housing – all this provides one of the keys to her fascinating drawings.
