Creative and experiential program accompanying the exhibition Hana Sommerová – Focus on Home, designed for preschoolers, elementary school students (grades 1–9), and after-school groups.

The program focuses on discovering beauty in the ordinary motifs that surround us every day. Together, we’ll explore the work of Hana Sommerová, searching her paintings for stories about home, everyday life, and details we often overlook. In the hands-on portion, we’ll try to capture the mood and color of an interior or nearby surroundings, and through the process of cropping, we’ll discover hidden compositions in our own artwork. The program encourages slowing down, concentration, and mindfulness of the world around us.

Preschool: 45–60 min (color trails, simple framing)
Elementary School (Grades 1–5): 60–90 min (painting, creating your own stencil, and discovering detail)
Elementary School (Grades 6–9): 60–90 min (working with layered stencils and composition)
