Edikula Gallery is announcing an open call for submissions of art objects and installations for exhibition blocks that will take place between fall 2026 and fall 2027. 

The Edikula Gallery is located in the heart of the Faculty of Arts, in front of the entrance to the Faculty’s Registrar’s Office. The open call is intended primarily for students and emerging artists. Given the nature of the space, we focus primarily on site-specific installations and small-scale sculptural works. We give priority to projects that specifically engage with the gallery space itself. At the same time, we are now opening the open call to performances as well.

For fire safety reasons, we cannot accept works made of paper or other flammable materials. Given the gallery’s focus on curatorial practice, we accept works by artists without curatorial support, as the curators are members of the gallery. We do not provide insurance for the works.

Requirements for exhibition projects:

 – interaction with the exhibition space itself,

 – low maintenance (it is not possible to turn on a projector, tablet, or multimedia player, etc., every day).

 The gallery provides:

 – space (approx. 250 x 220 cm, approx. 4 m high, with two windows on each side and the option to hang lighter works from the ceiling),

 – curatorial support,

 – preparation of the opening reception, including photographic documentation,

 – promotion of the exhibition (posters, internet, social media),

 – a contribution toward installation and transportation (approximately 1,500–2,000 CZK).

Announcement and Publication of Results: September 25, 2026. The results will be published on the gallery’s website and social media and sent to all applicants via email.
