Come join us to explore our city from a slightly different perspective.

This year, we’ll meet at Edvard Beneš Square—a place we’ve cared for over many years and where we’ve also built a beetle habitat with an educational sign. At our booth, you’ll be able to discover Ostrava in an unconventional and in-depth way: we’ll offer you puzzles featuring Ostrava’s cultural trails, scavenger hunts around Ostrava, memory games, and coloring books, the poetic guide *Journeys into Ostrava’s (In)land*, the *Literary Ostrava* trilogy, or a book dedicated to interwar Ostrava and Mayor Jan Prokeš, in which you can also delve into chapters on the architecture in the immediate vicinity of the square. There will also be Ostrava T-shirts, bags, buttons, and other small items featuring city motifs.

For children, we’re preparing an art and exploration workshop with our instructors. Why do beetle habitats and insect houses make sense in the city? Why is it sometimes better to leave old wood in the garden, and why don’t we need to mow every patch of grass very short? We’ll talk about what we can do for insects and other tiny city dwellers—and everyone will also be able to make a small insect house to take home.

For adults, we have a special Ostrava quiz. We’ll test what you know about local architecture, history, literature, and city curiosities. And whoever completes it correctly will take home an Ostrava souvenir from us.
