Faculty of Architecture of Brno University of Technology is organising a series of events from 2 to 5 June 2026 to conclude the academic year. It will open with the FINALS! festival – the final presentation of studio work – and will be followed by the Bohuslav Fuchs Prize student competition. Everything will culminate with the closing ceremony of the academic year on Friday 5 June. The events will take place at the Faculty's premises at Poříčí 5 and are open to the general public.

FINALS!: Take a peek inside the studios (2–3 June)

Festival FINALS! will offer the opportunity to watch architecture students present their projects and view an exhibition of models, visualizations and drawings.

This year's studios address issues that resonate far beyond academia. For example, students have been designing the form of a new residential neighbourhood on the site of the former Kohn's Brickworks in Štýřice – one of the most important development sites within easy reach of Brno's city centre. Another studio dealt with the development of villages in the Podyjí region, a border region on the Moravian-Austrian border largely protected as a national park. Another studio linked design with the possibility of realisation: students designed a snack bar in the grounds of the Uherčice Castle.

The Bohuslav Fuchs Prize: student competition for the best studios (4–5 June)

The FINALS! will be immediately followed by the Bohuslav Fuchs Prize, which will take place on 4 and 5 June. The competition will showcase the best student projects and reward achievements in the past academic year.

The Bohuslav Fuchs Prize is a student competition awarded twice a year by an independent jury. The jury consists of renowned personalities from the architectural scene or related disciplines, not working at the BUT Faculty of Architecture, and students - winners of this prize from the past semester.

The whole week will culminate on Friday, June 5, with the closing ceremony of the academic year of the BUT Faculty of Architecture.
