The exhibition was created by the Člověk a proctor (Man and Space) citizens association and presents one of the most outstanding architects of last 50 years. This retrospective enables a wider view on his significant architecture style and his pedagogical work. In 60s Jan Bočan co-founded the Beta studio along with architect Jan Šrámek, at those times as a part of a progressive Associtation of Project Studios. This meant a huge effort to create high quality team studios and disrupt the hegemony of planning institutes. Next to Jan Šrámek, his closest professional mates were Alena Šrámková, Zdeněk Rothbauer and Oldřich Novotný who were often collaborators of his works. In 90s Jan Bočan founded his own studio Bočan & Partners.
