Three solo performers, each with one signature instrument. Ketara, organs, hurdy gurdy. Their intricate tones will light up the dim corners of Zaazrak|Dornych dungeon such as beams of August sun in this late summer session. Three exclusive live shows will be performed consequently by Jim Krutor, Line Gate and Koniar.
Drawing inspiration from the format of pipe organ, Jim Krutor uses post-trance arpeggios, chord progressions and soundscapes to tell stories without winners and losers in his ingenious sets. His rare public appearances open memories of past successes, lost alliances, wasted opportunities and forgotten treasures.

The music of Line Gate revives the medieval string instrument of hurdy gurdy. Instead of attempting to mimic its traditional sound, he experiments with it to create stretching drones and otherworldly soundscapes. Line Gate’s solo etheric live set will fit in perfectly into the dark arched cell of Zaazrak|Dornych.

You might know KōNcHi by his wildcat breakcore twists that he usually produces as a core member of the home-crew speedcoretrew. In his other iteration as Koniar, he uses his original musical instrument ketara which is something between an electric guitar, cello, hurdy gurdy and synthesizer. While exploring the possibilities of this instrument, Koniar’s music draws from metal, drone, noise, folk, experimental and classical music.
The event takes place with the financial support of the statutory city of Brno.
