Join the Moravian Gallery in celebrating the birthday of the artist and curator who helped change the game in the art world.

Ten years ago, Jiří Valoch generously donated his archive and part of his art collection to the Moravian Gallery. This act significantly contributed to our understanding of the history of contemporary art as it developed in the context of Brno and the international neo-avant-garde from the mid-1960s onward.

As part of the celebrations, the upcoming documentary Minimonument Jiří Valoch (directed by Michaela Fišer Rozbrojová and Josef Fišer) will be screened, and the permanent exhibition “Art is Here” will host a lecture in the form of a game titled Changing the Game by curators Ondřej Chrobák and Jana Písaříková, and to conclude, a small surprise in the form of a gift awaits both the honoree and us—a collective work of art for everyone who lives with art.
