Josef Bolf (born 7 October 1971 in Prague) - In 1990-1998 he graduated at Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (Prof. Jiří Načeradský, Prof. Vladimír Kokolia, Prof. Vladimír Skrepl). In 1995 he studied in Konsthögskolan, Stockholm. In 1996 he studied at the Academia der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart. In 2006, he attended the residential residence of the Europäisches Künstlerhaus Oberbayern residency program in Freising. In 2005 he became the finalist of the Jindřich Chalupecký Prize and he participated in the ISCP - International Studio and Curatorial Program, scholarship in New York (2007). The first larger independent author's monograph was published in 2009, with the text by Tomáš Pospisyl (Ed. Divus, Prague). He was awarded the Personality of the Year Award 2010. He was a member of BJ (Headless Rider, active in 1998-2002) with Jan Mančuška, Jan Šerý and Tomáš Vaňek. Since 1998 he regularly exhibits.
