What remains when an object, an image, or a memory fades away? In the exhibition Half Gone, Kateřina Komm explores gradual disappearance—from fleeting situations and the transfer of artworks into collections to children who quickly grow up. She is interested in the moment when something ceases to be present but has not yet vanished from our memory.

Spatial objects rooted in personal experience and physicality intertwine here with historical imagery and mythology, revealing the medium of sculpture in unusual, ever-changing forms: in walk-through textile objects, as well as in Polaroid photographs capturing her own, very specific moments of disappearance and transformation.

Kateřina Komm (*1990) studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (AVU), where she also works as an assistant in the studio of figurative sculpture and medals.
