Educational Program for the Exhibition German Art in the Border Regions: Then and Now for 8th and 9th grade elementary and high school students.

Can a work of art return home to a place where people no longer live? The program explores the work of German artists from northeastern Bohemia and Lower Silesia up to 1945 in direct dialogue with contemporary artists. Through the artists’ personal stories, it explores the traces left behind in the landscape following the expulsion of the German population. In the hands-on portion, we will focus on the spatial expression of ideas and experimentation with materials. Collaborative creation will serve as a catalyst for exploring connections between history, the present, and our own perception of the region.
