Living Room Art Space
The new exhibition program of Studio ALTA.
In the environment of separated art circles and genres, different fields rarely interconnect, even though they are very close and can enrich each other. Studio ALTA interrogates this separation by creating a new exhibition program in the Living Room that connects these seemingly disparate entities.
Living Room Art Space is inspired by the experimental and interdisciplinary character of our cultural space in Holešovice. During its first year, the program presents artists who oscillate between different fields – the program combines visual arts with music, poetry, movement, science and others. The chaotic, non-gallery space that is the Living Rooms allows for an exploration between the possibilities of visual presentation, interdisciplinary forms, and social communication.
