This year, the seventh edition of the Art in the City project, organized by the Josef Jambora Gallery, which presents works of contemporary visual art to the public and serves as a platform for dialogue between contemporary art, the urban environment and the local community, presents the work of sculptor Michal Gabriel in the space of the Parish Garden. 

The set of four white fiberglass sculptures, The Apocalyptic Riders, refers in its title to a passage in the biblical book of Revelation. In Michael Gabriel's rendition, the individual characters Life, Death, Lessness and War ride at speed on strange wheels growing out of the characters' arms and legs. The wondrous wheels lend a distinct dynamism and almost design elegance to the thoroughly modern archetypes of these forces with which they race through the world.
