Ondřej Basjuk (born 1983 in Domažlice) studied the design of Book Culture (2002-2004) and

media and didactic illustration (2004-2007) in the Institute of Art and Design in Pilsen. After 

he stadied the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (2006-2012; Studio Graphics II, prof. Vladimir 

Kokolia). In 2013 he received second place in the Critics Prize for Young Painters with overlap 

(the first was not awarded). He regularly exhibits since 2006 – his exhibition projects include 

Explorerista (Galerie OFF / FORMAT, Brno, 2012), Magnet 7/69 (Nau Gallery, Prague, 2013), 

Cult Exhibition (Fait Gallery, Brno, 2014) and Subliminally (together with Vladimír Kokolia, 

Jelení Gallery, Prague 2014).
