Jan Poupě and Petr Gruber

The exhibition of two artists, who belong to the same generation, based on the common interest in the space perception and the picture surface. Both artists work with the motif of quarry, an important symbol of landscape, by his own way. For Jan Poupě, it means an event in the landscape, an unintentional amphitheatre. In Gruber´s pictures it appears at the background, hidden as fragment in the darkness of trees. It is a place, originály sacrified for creation of another new one.
