Šárka Zahálková’s audio walk will guide you through the space with a different dynamic, sharpening your attention and offering a new interpretation of the connections between time, space, and meaning. The walk invites a more sensitive perception of the relationships between human and non-human beings and the place itself. Šárka Zahálková is an artist, curator, cultural manager, and activist. In her work, she has long explored art as a tool for social change, art in public spaces, acoustic ecology, and collective, non-hierarchical interdisciplinary collaboration. She pays particular attention to the social and environmental turn in contemporary art.

Her artistic and curatorial practice is grounded in walking, listening, and a conscious, sensitive relationship to place, as well as collaboration and dialogue with communities, artists, architects, and theorists. In her own work, she moves freely between drawing, time-based media, installation, sound art, and community-oriented participatory projects. She completed her doctoral studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague.
