Science Week is a new educational format organized by the Department of Art Theory and History at FaVU.
For one week, the department will suspend its regular classes and open its doors to outside voices. Monday’s program takes place on the FaVU campus and is organized by KTDU faculty members.
On the following days, the event will move to the VUT Tržnice Center and the Kino CIT, featuring lectures by invited experts and discussions on the topic of art and class.
Science Week does not have a single overarching theme, but there is a motif that will be present in a significant portion of the program. This theme is the people and folk culture—or popularity—and questions regarding their relationship to culture and art.
