Ten open windows, about two thousand items in play later. Fifteen playlists, each on a slightly different topic. Occasionally I'll add something to a few. Sometimes I find it's already there again.

Before it loads, I check the comments. I'll check off a few that I find funny. Other times, I find a comment again that I liked a long time ago. Now I don't find it funny anymore, so I delete the response.

Sometimes I just go for a quick walk. Something I know to make sure it still works. When it's least convenient, I wander off for a long walk. There is a pitfall though, I get somewhere that is horrible and I want to get away quickly. But that's rarely the case. Mostly getting lost is absolutely perfect. I'll start with a classic, a video clip I've seen about 1,000 times. I play it about once a week. Then this interview with the artist, a video essay on a niche topic so I have something clever to say to my friends. Then a livestream from the weather station - a glimpse of nature. This is the walk.

Nothing is over - for someone who walks. When I don't know, I walk. When I don't know, I watch, play more, keep me entertained, keep me distracted. Yes, when I feel lost, I walk. How glad I am that the journey ahead of me never ends, how glad I am that I can forget with each step, discover with each step, remember with each step. on my walk, on my escape route, on my route to home.

screening.13 is a music-projection series taking place exclusively in the Rello space at Rybářská 13. The aim is to create and strengthen Brno communities interested in audiovisual culture, offering them a curated selection of contemporary moving image, often with an overlap into music/sound. The screening evenings are dramaturgically led not only internally, but also by invited curators or existing collectives.
