Jiří Marek (born in 1991 in Brno) - In 2007-2011 he graduated from the Secondary School of Art and Design in Brno (field of applied painting, Prof. Petr Veselý) and in 2011-2017 Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (Painting I, The School of Prof. Jiří Sopko; Drawing, Jiří Petrbok School). In the 2012 and 2015 he received the Ateliér prize, in 2017 he was nominated for the Prize of J. Hlávka. He has been exhibiting since 2010. In 2017 he participated in the Jenewein Symposium in Kutná Hora. He took part in the exhibition projects such as Black Horse (Adam Gallery, Brno, 2015), Natural World (Prague House, Brussels, 2016) or Sokolovský zázrak (Church of St. Antonin, Sokolov, 2018).
