Sympozium with the participation of some of the exhibiting artists and also curators from various countries develops further the subjects of the exhibition. It deals above all with the socio-political context of art forms situated in landscape (land art, but also body art and action art) in the former Czechoslovakia, in Poland and Hungary. Also with various forms of documenting of these ephemeral artworks, including its methods of documentation and presentation.

Two participants from Poland will come to Jihlava - curator Marta Ryczkowska from Galeria Labirynt in Lublin will introduce the Polish land art. Teresa Murak, who exhibits in the Czech Republic for the first time, will present her own work, also via the film documentation. The Hungarian conceptual artist Sándor Pinczehelyi will talk about the neo-avantgarde work of Pécsi Műhely group. The work by Michal Kern will be presented by curator from Bratislava Kunsthalle, Daniela Čarná. The Czech artists will be represented by Vladimír Havlík, who created his land art works in Žďársko area in Vysočina region. Miloš Vojtěchovský from Prague will talk about the structures and chaos in Vysočina landscape, based on the work by Ivan Kafka. Jan Ságl, who documented the work of Zorka Ságlová on photographs, will bring a unique film documentary about this artist.

A commented walk through the exhibition with artists and curator will take place after the sympozium. The presentation of the book about contemporary artworks in landscape by its three authors (Radoslava Schmelzová, Dagmar Šubrtová and Radek Mikuláš) will provide the connecting link with the current landscape art in the Czech Republic.

The sympozium is in Czech, with translations from Polish and Hungarian.

The entrance is free.
