Tomáš Moravec / A quarter of a kilometre of airship

Streamline (2017) is a video performance recording the physical representation of the material and scale that was formerly the limit when building an airship: 245 metres. I extend a line of silver paper over this distance in an open space to try to give an idea of the length of such an object. In retrospect this can also be seen as a metaphor for a fragile vision and its complicated unfolding: turning back, going down dead ends and then picking up the thread again. (Tomáš Moravec)

Arthur Debert, Lola Göller, Carola Uehlken and Benjamin Zuber are connecting the art space Babel in Berlin to a space in Hangzhou, China. Both spaces are in constant change. An experimental Art event in the end of March will bring together an international platform of artists referring to the potential of minor and major misunderstandings in language, transfer and mobility.
