'33 - '29 - '36 is inspired by ideas from the interwar period and the practice of three avant-garde designers, that together form a complex set of intersecting questions – feminism and the feminine, antiquity and the ultra-Modern and misleading representations of emancipation. Along with historical works on display, Lucy McKenzie invited contemporary artists and designers to respond to these issues.
