The exhibition is a deliberate alternative to the cutthroat competition for attention that takes place today in both the everyday offline and online spaces—and which is also characteristic of the contemporary art scene. The artists seek to free themselves from this pressure and choose their own rules for their artistic practice—their work is rooted in focused engagement with materials, tactile experience, and precise craftsmanship. They draw their self-confidence not from external pressure, but from inner stability and keen observation.

Stanislava Karbušická addresses themes of power, fear, and care through symbols, layering, and absence. Aleksandrina Yordanova moves toward peace in her subdued figures, which she understands not as a state but as an orientation.

However, neither of them seeks a fixed point in escaping the world, but rather in a careful observation of human society, the unpretentious naturalness of everyday life, and the cycle of growth and decay. For them, Catching the Thread does not mean escape, but rather a decision to connect with the true flow of life. Both the spatial installation and the audience itself encourage this act of catching the thread. The exhibition explains nothing; rather, it creates a space where one can slow down, linger, and fully experience the present moment.
