The Kaple Gallery will present an exhibition by David Moješčík (MojDa) entitled Touch, which offers a collection of the artist's sculptural realisations curated by Josef Vomáčka. The exhibition builds on his long-standing interest in the human figure, physicality and space, and presents a body of work that is characterised by its distinctive craftsmanship and strong visual impact.

Moješčík is one of the outstanding figures of contemporary Czech sculpture, with his work straddling the boundaries between classical figuration and contemporary expressive language. His work combines respect for traditional sculptural practices with the use of contemporary technologies and materials. The result is formally pure, often monumental objects that accentuate the relationship between body, space and movement.

The central motif of the artist's work is the human body - especially the female figure, which he depicts with an emphasis on harmony, calm and inner concentration. Inspiration ranges from antiquity to European classicism to non-European spiritual traditions. Moješčík does not take these influences literally, however, but transforms them into a contemporary visual language that emphasizes simplicity, concentration, and the reduction of the irrelevant.

"Moješčík's work is exceptional today for its craftsmanship and its ability to relate to the classical values of sculpture without losing its contemporary expression. His works are a celebration of the human body, but at the same time they also carry another, less visible dimension that leads the viewer to a deeper experience," says Josef Vomáčka, the exhibition's curator.

In addition to a strong formal aspect, the artist's work is also characterized by precise work with detail and surface. Each work is created as a complex process in which traditional sculptural techniques meet new technological procedures, always with an emphasis on final manual processing.

The Touch exhibition at the Kaple Gallery presents a selection of works that emphasize both the physical presence of the sculpture in space and its ability to affect the viewer in terms of perception and experience. It offers an encounter with work that defies rapid visual consumption and returns attention to the essence of the sculptural medium - form, material and human experience.
