The exhibition presents a collection of objects and reliefs created from television screens, electronic components, and fragments of technology. The artist explores the theme of disrupted communication and the transformation of meanings in an era when the digital image has completely permeated everyday reality. He etches fictional messages and traces of unknown communications into the surfaces of the screens, whose origin and meaning remain unclear.

Kopřiva’s work oscillates between the archaeology of the future and a critique of technological dependence. The remnants of devices that once served to transmit information are transformed into artifacts of a world whose communication systems have failed. In doing so, the artist departs from the medium of the moving image itself and replaces it with a physical intervention in the material—an engraved trace that he refers to as antivideoart. The installation raises questions about the relationship between technology, memory, and matter, and offers visitors the opportunity to view common electronic materials from a new perspective.

Pavel Kopřiva is one of the leading figures in Czech intermedia art. In his work, he combines objects, installations, light, sound, and digital technologies, focusing on the relationships between humans, technology, and the fluidity of perception. He also works as an educator and is active in the fields of art, design, and glass. His work naturally bridges the world of contemporary art with the tradition of North Bohemian glassmaking, which is an integral part of the region’s cultural identity.
